950 Tan Ky employees participate in donating blood to save lives
(Baonghean.vn) - It is expected that in the first voluntary blood donation festival of 2018, Tan Ky district will collect 400 units of blood.
On the morning of April 14, the District Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization Committee coordinated with Tan Ky District Youth Union and Nghe An Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize the first Voluntary Blood Donation Festival of 2018.
This humanitarian blood donation campaign attracted more than 950 cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members and residents in residential areas to register to participate.

In 2017, Tan Ky district mobilized and received 620 units of blood. The amount of blood collected has contributed to the treatment of many patients. Although the amount of blood received in recent years has increased, it only meets 70% of the needs for emergency and treatment.
The shortage of blood for emergency and general treatment, especially for blood types O and B, still occurs at provincial and district hospitals, especially during peak times of the year.
It is expected that in the first voluntary blood donation festival of 2018, Tan Ky district will collect 400 units of blood.
This is a meaningful humanitarian program, demonstrating the pioneering spirit of the youth and civil servants of Tan Ky district.
