99.9% of schools in Nghe An apply the Vietnamese technology program for grade 1
(Baonghean.vn) - Teaching Vietnamese to first graders using a technology program is not a new program because it has been piloted since 1987. In Nghe An, the program has been implemented for nearly 20 years and is being expanded.
Educational technology: "Spell, but don't spell Mr. Dai"
(Baonghean.vn) - The spelling method according to the Vietnamese textbook by Professor Ho Ngoc Dai has been taught in experimental schools for forty years; one small drawback should not deny the other advantages of this method.
Up to now, the whole province has 561/562 primary schools implementing teaching Vietnamese for grade 1 according to the technology program. The only school that has not implemented it is Tri Le 4 Primary School (Que Phong) because the travel conditions are too difficult, so the training has not been implemented synchronously.
Before that, from 2000 onwards, Nghe An was also one of the first 43 provinces to apply this program, including about 80% of schools under the city. There were even pilot schools since the 80s.

However, in 2000, after the policy of changing textbooks was issued, the program was interrupted because the Ministry's policy was to have only one program and one set of textbooks. The program was only piloted again in 2006, after Professor Ho Ngoc Dai had a ministerial-level topic with the content "Improving the quality of teaching Vietnamese to ethnic minority students" and the first pilot was in Lao Cai.
Also during this time, due to the situation of many students "sitting in the wrong class" and due to the requirements of the new school program VNEN, the Ministry had a policy of expanding it. In Nghe An, schools implementing the new school model (VNEN) were the first to benefit.

By the 2013-2014 school year, when affirming the program's advantages, the Ministry allowed localities to "apply it on a voluntary basis". In the first year, 100% of schools in Vinh city implemented it simultaneously. In the remaining districts, the voluntary registration rate reached about 20% and by the third year, nearly 100% of schools implemented it. During the implementation process, districts such as Ky Son and Thanh Chuong directly invited Professor Ho Ngoc Dai to directly teach and answer questions.
