99% Doan Van Hau will not join U19 Vietnam to attend the 2018 AFC U19 Championship
Almost certainly, defender Doan Van Hau will not join the Vietnam U19 team to attend the 2018 AFC U19 Championship in Indonesia this October.
The tournament is also a prerequisite for young teams in Asia to participate in the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup held in Poland. 3 years ago, Doan Van Hau was an important factor helping U19 Vietnam reach the semi-finals of the 2016 AFC U19 Championship in Bahrain before winning a ticket to Korea to participate in the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup for the first time in the history of Vietnamese football.

However, coach Hoang Anh Tuan of Vietnam U19 currently shared: "Actually, Doan Van Hau is at a level where he can serve the national team. In the list of 50 U19 Vietnam players registered to AFC, I still included Doan Van Hau's name but it also depends on other factors."
"If Hanoi FC does not use Van Hau in the final stage, and he is not in the plan for the AFF Suzuki Cup, then I will let him participate in the 2018 U19 Asia. Van Hau will be given priority to perform duties for the national team."
Coach Hoang Anh Tuan continued to analyze: "Having good players like Van Hau is very beneficial, but in terms of depth, Doan Van Hau playing for the national team at this time is better. He will only participate with U19 Vietnam if he is not tied down with duties with the club or the national team."
Since 2016, Doan Van Hau has been the player who has experienced the most levels of Vietnamese football. From the U19 Vietnam team participating in the 2016 AFC U19 Championship, Van Hau and the U20 Vietnam team participated in the FIFA U20 World Cup. Next, he was called up to the U22 Vietnam team to participate in the 2017 SEA Games.
Van Hau then joined the U23 Vietnam team to attend the 2018 U23 Asian Cup Finals, and the Vietnam team to attend the 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers. Most recently, he and the Vietnam Olympic team won 4th place in the 2018 ASIAD men's football event.
At the age of 19, Doan Van Hau has achieved many remarkable achievements. He and the U23 Vietnam team won the silver medal of the U23 Asia Championship, and together with Hanoi FC won the V.League 2018. In 2017, Doan Van Hau also received the titles of best young player in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Doan Van Hau is the youngest player in all the U23 and Vietnam national team gatherings in the past 2 years. He is considered a rare defender in Vietnamese football, standing at 1m85 tall and playing on the wing.
It is almost certain that Doan Van Hau will not join the U19 Vietnam team to attend the 2018 AFC U19 Championship in Indonesia this coming October. Because during this time, the Vietnam team will have a half-month training trip in Korea to prepare for the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup. Coach Park Hang Seo will find it difficult to leave this talent out of the call-up list.
