Runner-up Dao Thi Hien donates all prize money to charity
After winning the title of 1st runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2023, Dao Thi Hien established a charity fund to help disadvantaged children across the country.
Recently, Dao Thi Hien decided to spend all of her prize money to establish the "Kindness" fund. This charity fund aims to help children on dialysis at Children's Hospital 2 (HCMC), and disadvantaged children in the program.The pair of loving leavesVTV and other disadvantaged children across the country.
Sharing about this decision, Dao Thi Hien said: "I feel the suffering of the children and I also understand the boundless love, compassion and unconditional sacrifice of parents for their children. Witnessing the pain and difficult lives has urged me to do more to join hands to help those in less fortunate circumstances. Therefore, the first thing I want to do after winning the runner-up title is to donate all the prize money to support and help sick children and those in dangerous circumstances."
In addition, the beauty from Nghe An also emphasized that when she entered the Miss World Vietnam 2023 contest, she never put pressure on herself to win the beauty queen crown. Instead, she saw the contest as an environment to improve herself and become a useful person for society.
The 22-year-old beauty confided: "When I compete, I don't put pressure on myself with the goal of achieving the highest position, but I compete with the spirit of doing my best to perfect myself as much as possible to become a person with positive values for society. My point of view is what I can do, from which the things I do will position who I am, not the title. Therefore, in the future I will definitely affirm my position in the hearts of the audience. In addition, although I lack a little luck, it also makes me look back at myself to strive to improve. I think this incompleteness will be a new beginning for me to reach greater heights in the future."
Dao Thi Hien was born in 2001, from Nghe An. She is currently a senior student at Hanoi University of Business and Technology. Before participating in Miss World Vietnam 2023, she entered the Top 5 of Miss Tourism Vietnam 2022.
