Runner-up Diem Trang: Polish Ambassador called after I was discriminated against
Diem Trang said that being called a "virus" was just an accident. The Polish ambassador later called the runner-up to share the story.
Runner-up Diem Trang said she was surprised to receive a call from the Polish Ambassador to Vietnam.
“Trang wrote this status to thank the Polish ambassador to Vietnam for his concern and to express regret for what happened to Trang and her husband when they encountered discrimination. Trang understands that these days the whole world is facing an epidemic, people look at each other with suspicion, discrimination is happening in many places around the world, so Trang chooses to look at it optimistically, although at first she was a bit shocked when she fell into such a situation,” she wrote.
The runner-up also expressed that the incident of being called a "virus" in Poland was over, she considered it an incident. She was surprised when the Polish Ambassador called. The conversation with the Ambassador warmed her heart, the runner-up still maintained her views and perspectives on the country and people of Poland as before.
“They are friendly, lovely, kind and never underestimate others. Every time we enter a place or an elevator, even if we don't know each other, Polish people often smile and say "Dzień dobry". Trang's husband has lived and worked in Warsaw for more than 20 years, loves this place and considers it his second home,” she emphasized.
