(Baonghean.vn) - On March 24, an armed group opened fire on a bus, killing 13 passengers. The attack took place in Wardak province, southern Afghanistan, near the capital Kabul.

Attaullah Khogyani, a government spokesman, said, “Around 1 a.m., a group of armed men opened fire on passengers on a bus in Wardak province, killing 13 people. Among the dead was one woman.” No organization has yet claimed responsibility, but authorities suspect the Taliban terrorist group is behind the attack.

According to reports, the killers "selected" their victims from among the passengers on the bus before shooting them "one by one." Authorities said the victims were all Shiite Muslims and members of the Hazara ethnic group.
