Egypt: F-16 fighter jet crashes, no survivors

AFP reported that the Egyptian military issued a statement on the evening of January 27 saying that an F-16 fighter jet had crashed during a military exercise, killing all crew members.

In the above statement, the Egyptian army confirmed:

"An F-16 crashed during an exercise, killing all on board."

However, the statement did not specify the location of the accident.

Egypt is one of the largest and best equipped militaries in the region. Recently, the Egyptian military has been equipped with American F-16 and French Rafale fighter jets.

Currently, the F-16 aircraft, manufactured by the US Lockheed Martin Corporation, is being used by about 20 countries./.
