Warm volunteer activities of Phan school students
(Baonghean.vn) - Every time Tet comes, students of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted are excited about charity activities for children in difficult circumstances and the less fortunate in life.
BOOK OF SMILES
Phan Bookaholic Club is one of the pioneer clubs of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted in organizing charity activities on the occasion of the Year of the Tiger. The project "Books for Smiles" of Phan Bookaholic Club was conceived two years ago, with the aim of bringing the most practical values to the community and society through books. In June 2021, the project donated more than 50 sets of primary school textbooks and school supplies to children at Yen Hoa II Primary School in Tuong Duong district with a total value of up to 27 million VND.
This year, the project resumed operations after long months of social isolation due to the pandemic. This year's destination is the General Radiology Department - Nghe An Oncology Hospital.
In this series of volunteer activities, the project has built a bookshelf of love at the Department with more than 130 books of various genres, with content that focuses on positive and optimistic things in life. The club hopes that the bookshelf will not only be a place for patients to relax and entertain, but also a great source of motivation for them to be confident, strong, and optimistic in fighting the disease.

Along with the bookcase construction activity, on the eve of the New Year, this morning, January 23, 2022, the club's charity project "Books for Smiles" also presented more than 90 gifts to cancer patients with a total value of up to 20 million VND. This is the amount of money supported by benefactors in Vinh city such as BIDV Bank, Nghe An branch, Nghe An Department of Culture & Sports, CTGT Project Management Board of Nghe An Department of Transport,... Although the gift is not large, it is full of mutual love from students and benefactors, with the desire to bring a warm and full Tet to the patients.
