Amorim introduces MU's new defense
Manchester United under coach Amorim are changing their defensive tactics with a three-man defense, bringing hope for the future.

Less than a month after signing for Manchester United, manager Ruben Amorim has already begun work on a new defensive system. One of the key changes has been the introduction of a back three, with the addition of Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich. The Moroccan defender, who can play on either flank, was tested at right-back in his first game under Amorim, alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Jonny Evans.
However, with the current injury situation, Man United's defensive line-up will have many changes. De Ligt, who is in good form, will almost certainly be the first choice in the three central defenders. Lisandro Martinez, who has just returned to training, and new signing Leny Yoro, who is recovering from injury, are expected to be De Ligt's partners in defence. Yoro, with a transfer value of up to 52.2 million pounds, is expected to play an important role in Amorim's 3-4-3 formation.
Another notable factor is the return of Luke Shaw, after 280 days of injury. Shaw, who played at left-back against Ipswich, could be an ideal option for United's central defence, alongside Martinez and De Ligt. However, Shaw's use will need to be carefully calculated to avoid a recurrence of injury.
With the return of Yoro and Shaw, Man United's defense under Amorim will have more depth and flexibility, helping the team to cope with the big challenges ahead.
