Murder after the sound of revving the engine.
Angered by the provocative revving of motorcycle engines, two groups of teenagers chased and attacked each other with knives on the streets of Da Lat, resulting in one death.

According to the investigation, at 1 AM on August 3rd, Hoang was driving Tam on a motorbike on Nguyen Van Cu Street, Ward 1, Da Lat City. They encountered a group led by 17-year-old Bui Hong Cong, who were out for a late-night meal. The two teenagers revved their motorbikes. Believing that the two boys were provoking them, Cong's group of three also revved their motorbikes in response.
An argument broke out, and Công and his friend were chased and attacked by two teenagers. They abandoned their motorbike and fled on foot. Tâm then used a knife to stab Công and his friend, leaving them unconscious on the spot, before fleeing with Hoàng to Đức Trọng district.
Cong was taken to the hospital by locals but did not survive, while his friend was seriously injured.

During the investigation, detectives apprehended Hoang and Tam a day after the crime was committed. A rapid drug test revealed that Tam tested positive for marijuana.
