Thief was discovered, held gas cylinder for 5 hours

A young man broke into a barber shop from the roof to steal a computer. When discovered, he immediately opened the gas tank valve and held a lighter for 5 hours.

According to the police of Binh Hoa ward, Thuan An town, Binh Duong, the incident happened at around 4:00 a.m. on September 3 at Ngoc Huyen barber shop, residential area 434, Binh Dang quarter, Binh Hoa ward.

At 9:30 a.m., the authorities of Thuan An town arrested and identified the young man as Le Van Vinh (23 years old, from Thanh Hoa).

Vinh broke into the barber shop through the roof. When Vinh brought a laptop, camera and some items to the roof, he was discovered by the people.

Upon receiving information from local residents, Binh Hoa ward police deployed forces to the scene to handle the incident.

Vinh stubbornly opened the gas tank valve, held a lighter and a knife and barricaded himself inside. After many hours of unsuccessful persuasion, the police of Binh Hoa ward used pepper spray to force the subject to open the door and go outside after 5 hours of barricading himself.

Currently, Le Van Vinh has been taken to the police headquarters to give a statement to clarify the incident./.
