Google released the first preview of its new mobile operating system to developers.

Following Android O from 2017, Google has just launched Android P with many changes towards user experience. With the new operating system, Google has "paved the way" for manufacturers to launch Android phones with "rabbit ears" - a funny name for the notched edge on the screen similar to the iPhone X.

Customize the "rabbit ears" on Android P.

Google calls it a "display cutout," and the company not only supports custom customizations in the menu, but also moves the clock to the left position (previously it was usually in the middle or on the right), making room for the "notch."

Since mid-2017, the Essential phone has had a notch on the display to house the camera. However, the "rabbit ear" really caught the attention of the technology world after Apple introduced the iPhone X. Since then, many Android manufacturers have released or planned to release phones with "rabbit ear" screens.

In addition, Android P also focuses on improving photo quality with dual camera support. Third-party applications can better exploit the advantages of two front cameras or two rear cameras.

The final version of Android P is expected to be released by Google in the third quarter of 2018. Meanwhile, the current version is only limited to developers.
