Broom seller receives gift from Minister of Public Security
Minister of Public Security To Lam has just given a rocking chair, a wheelchair and 5 million VND to a disabled couple who struggle to make a living selling brooms in Hanoi.
On the afternoon of May 3, Lieutenant General Nguyen Danh Cong (Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security) visited and gave gifts to Mr. Duong Dinh Nhat and his wife - a disabled broom seller who is being helped in life by Senior Lieutenant Tran Anh Tuan (officer of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police University).
According to the Ministry of Public Security's electronic information portal,Lieutenant General Nguyen Danh Cong conveyed the regards and encouragement of Minister of Public Security To Lam and presented the Minister's gift including a rocking chair, a wheelchair and 5 million VND.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Danh Cong shared the difficulties, encouraged and hoped that the Minister's concern would give him and his wife more strength to overcome difficulties in life.
Mr. Nhat and his wife promise to always try their best not to let down those who have helped them... They dream that their 5-year-old son will one day become a police officer like Lieutenant Tuan to help people with disabilities integrate into the community and stabilize their lives.

Vietnam Television recently reported touching news about Lieutenant Tuan who, for nearly two months, at noon and after work, volunteered to help Mr. Nhat sell brooms.
