(Baonghean.vn) - To have money to spend, Mui and Ngo agreed to participate in the drug trafficking initiated by Dung. As a result, all 3 received severe sentences from the law.

On the morning of May 31, the Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial of defendants Luong Van Ngo (born in 1990), Luong Van Mui (born in 1992), both residing in Thanh Son Commune, Thanh Chuong District, and Nguyen Tat Dung (born in 1981, residing in Tan Son Commune, Do Luong District) for the crime of illegal drug trafficking. In this case, Ngo and Mui are biological brothers.

According to the investigation agency's documents, around the beginning of December 2018, Dung's younger brother's car got stuck in Thanh Son commune, so Dung asked Ngo to hire an excavator to pull it out. There, the two went to Mui's (Ngo's younger brother) farm to play and have lunch. While eating, Dung asked "Did you get any drugs?", and Ngo answered: Yes.

About 10 days later, Mui invited his friend to go find wood and trap animals. When they reached the border area, Mui told his friend to wait and then crossed the border alone, meeting a Laotian friend who bought 1 kg of crystal meth on credit for 250 million VND. After buying the drugs, Mui brought them home and stored them at the wood loading area.

As for Dung, after the meal at Mui farm, this young man went to Do Luong district to ask drug addicts in the area for a place to consume drugs but got no results. After that, Dung received a phone call from Ngo informing him that he had bought 1 kg of crystal meth, and asked "Have you found a buyer yet?".

A few days later, a man claiming to be from Yen Thanh district contacted Dung to buy drugs. The two sides negotiated to buy 1 kg of crystal meth for 300 million VND. However, because Ngo was not home that day, the transaction did not take place.

On the morning of December 21, 2018, Dung contacted the previous day's buyer to come and pick up the drugs. At Ngo's house, after discussing, the subjects assigned specific tasks to each person: Ngo rode his motorbike out first to pick up the customer and check the money, Dung went to Mui's house to get the drugs and then came out later.

When Dung brought drugs to the Ho Chi Minh trail area in Cao Son commune, Anh Son district to deliver to customers, the police force suddenly appeared and arrested him. Mui followed behind and when she saw Dung being arrested, she turned around and fled. On the morning of December 22, Mui went to the police station to confess her crime. The evidence seized in the case was a package of drugs weighing 982.98 grams.

At court, the defendants admitted to the crimes as stated in the indictment and repented, hoping to receive leniency from the law.

Considering the role of each defendant in the case, the People's Court sentenced Nguyen Tat Dung to life in prison, and the two defendants Luong Van Ngo and Luong Van Mui received 20 years in prison.
