Mr. Thibeault himself knows that the working and studying environment of a border guard is very difficult and arduous. Therefore, learning and using foreign languages in such an environment requires Mr. Tien to make continuous efforts. From the pictures and information about Que Phong land sent to the contest, Mr. Thibeault and the judges were very interested and appreciated.

From Mr. Tien's entry, Mr. Thibeault expressed that he just wanted to take a trip to explore this land.

Currently, Lieutenant Tien has been working at Nghe An Border Guard for more than 4 years.

Sharing about the award he received from the competition, Tien said he was very surprised to win the award as well as receive sincere feelings from the judges. He himself was very happy because his efforts to learn foreign languages, specifically French, helped him initially receive encouraging results.

Born in Thai Hoa Town, Le Nhu Tien began to learn French since his high school years. When preparing to enter university, in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a soldier to follow his family's career and to learn a foreign language, he decided to study for a bachelor's degree in foreign languages at the Military Science Academy.

Throughout his university years and even when he was assigned to work at the Nghe An Border Guard until now, his love for foreign languages has always been full in him. Whenever he has free time, he studies and practices not only his knowledge of French but also English. Since he did not have an environment to practice, every day Mr. Tien improves his vocabulary by reading newspapers, listening to the radio, and listening to songs in French, whether he is stationed in the highlands or the plains.

Knowing about the contest “Young Francophone Reporters - Vietnam” through reading a French newspaper, Mr. Tien decided to try his hand at participating with the desire to introduce the beauty, culture and especially the people of Nghe An to international friends in the Francophone community. Because in the eyes of that Uncle Ho soldier, the land and people of Nghe An, his homeland, have many wonderful things for friends from all over the world to discover.
