Anh Son: 112 villages do not violate population policy.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 25th, the People's Committee of Anh Son district organized a ceremony to commemorate the 54th anniversary of Vietnam's Population Day (December 26th, 1961 - December 26th, 2015) and to summarize the population and family planning work in 2015 and implement tasks for 2016.

Over the past period, Anh Son district has focused on effectively implementing projects to improve the quality of the population. The reproductive health care and family planning campaigns have been implemented promptly and effectively. The rate of third or subsequent births is 18.8%, a decrease compared to the same period in 2014; the rate of using modern contraceptive methods is 11,836, reaching 65.8% of the plan. The entire district has 112 villages that have not violated the population policy. Among them, many villages have gone many years without having a third or subsequent birth, such as Block 7 of the town (17 years), Village 12 of Binh Son commune (10 years), Village 7 of Vinh Son commune (9 years), and Village 11 of Hoa Son commune (6 years).

Awards were presented to units and individuals who performed well in implementing the population and family planning policy.

At the closing ceremony, the People's Committee of Anh Son district awarded commendations to 22 villages, 5 collectives, and 8 individuals for their outstanding achievements in population work in 2015.
