Mr. Son: Meeting and giving gifts to war veterans and former youth volunteers who participated in the fight against the French

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, on the morning of May 6, the People's Committee of Anh Son district organized a meeting and presented gifts to 250 war veterans and former Youth Volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the French.

Attending the meeting were comrade Le Hong Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, representatives of leaders of agencies, units, departments and unions in the district, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and veteran revolutionary party members.

The delegates attending the meeting reviewed together the heroic tradition of revolutionary history and the spirit of determination to fight and win of our army and people in the sacred resistance war against French colonialism. The peak of which was the Dien Bien Phu victory that resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world.

The meeting took place in a warm and emotional atmosphere, many war veterans and former Youth Volunteers recounted stories and sacred memories of the years when the whole nation went to war. Those are unforgettable memories in the hearts of every Vietnamese person.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Secretary of the District Party Committee sent his warm regards and best wishes to the heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the armed forces, war veterans, former youth volunteers and their families. He expressed his deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs for the sacred land of the nation.

Also at the meeting, on behalf of the district leaders, comrade Le Hong Vinh presented gifts to the heroic Vietnamese Mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, war veterans, and youth volunteers who attended the meeting.
