Mr. Son: Meeting and giving gifts to veterans and former Youth Volunteers who participated in the resistance against the French.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, on the morning of May 6th, the People's Committee of Anh Son district organized a meeting and presented gifts to 250 veterans and former youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the French.
Attending the meeting were Comrade Le Hong Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, representatives of leaders of agencies, units, departments and mass organizations in the district, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and veteran revolutionary Party members.
The delegates attending the meeting together recalled the glorious revolutionary history and the indomitable fighting spirit of our army and people in the sacred resistance war against French colonialism. The pinnacle of this was the Điện Biên Phủ victory, renowned throughout the world and shaking the globe.
The meeting took place in a warm and emotional atmosphere, with many veterans and former Youth Volunteers recounting sacred stories and memories from the years when the entire nation fought together. These are memories that will never be forgotten in the hearts of every Vietnamese person.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Le Hong Vinh – Secretary of the District Party Committee – extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes for good health to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, veterans, former Youth Volunteers, and their families. He expressed profound gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs for the sacred land of the nation.
