Mr. Son: Hundreds of people 'fled' in the drill plan

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 12, hundreds of people from villages 6, 10 and 11 of Long Son commune (Anh Son) participated in the 2017 forest fire prevention, flood and storm prevention and search and rescue drills.

With the motto of 4 on-site, the exercise simultaneously carried out 3 contents: Forest fire prevention; flood and storm prevention and search and rescue on the river. Accordingly, phase 1: put the locality into a state of forest fire and storm and flood situations; phase 2: Organize forces and means to respond to forest fires, flood and storm prevention; phase 3: practice forest fire fighting in Con Trai area, Sub-region 93, village 6, Long Son commune.

Along with moving the locality into emergency status, the field command post also organized the evacuation of Khe So people in village 10, Long Son commune, out of the landslide risk area, and practiced rescue on the river at Bai Mang sand wharf, village 11, Long Son commune.

The exercise achieved good results as required to raise awareness of the entire political system and the entire population in proactively and effectively responding to natural disaster risks, minimizing human and property damage caused by storms and floods. Through the exercise, the ability to operate the leadership and direction mechanism of the Party Committee, the administration of the government and especially the synchronous and smooth coordination between departments, branches, localities and forces working on flood and storm prevention - search and rescue has been improved./.
