Mr. Son: Many schools are behind schedule in construction and completion.

(Baonghean.vn) –In the school infrastructure improvement program funded by the Government, Anh Son district has 6 schools that have been under construction for 2-3 years but are still not completed.

These are the kindergartens: Cam Son, Tao Son, Vinh Son, Hung Son, Cao Son Primary School and Thach Thi Secondary School.

Cao Son Primary School

The three kindergartens: Cam Son, Tao Son, and Vinh Son, are basically finished, with only a few minor issues such as cracked walls and broken railings. These schools have been rectified, and teachers and students are focusing on cleaning up in time for the opening of the new school year 2012-2013.

Regarding Hung Son Kindergarten, construction began in 2009 and is only 70% complete. According to Vo Van Hien, Chairman of the Hung Son Commune People's Committee: Due to the contractor's inability to continue construction, the roof was finished a year ago, with only the finishing touches remaining, but the contractor has abandoned the project until now. Cao Son Primary School is also completed, but two graves in the courtyard remain unremoved. The local authorities have met with the families of those two graves, and they have agreed to relocate them before August 30, 2012.

Thach Thi Secondary School is a shared school for Thach Son commune and the town. Construction has been progressing very slowly, with the contractor absent since the beginning of July 2012. The Chairman of the District People's Committee has directly contacted the contractor by phone, but has repeatedly lost contact.

The Steering Committee for School Renovation in Anh Son District is working with local authorities to focus on completing the project in time for the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
