Comrade Nguyen Huu Sang, Chairman of the District People's Committee, read the report on the results of implementing the socio-economic development tasks of the National Defense and Security Service in 2015.

The economic growth rate of 8.82% was the highest in the 5-year period of 2011-2015. The total production value was estimated at 3,333 billion VND, reaching 108.4% of the plan, up 15.4% over the same period.

The economic structure shifted in the right direction, reducing the proportion of agriculture, increasing the proportion of industry-construction and services; budget revenue met and exceeded the planned target. Some economic models brought high efficiency such as dense corn planting in Tuong Son; green squash planting in Cam Son; chili pepper planting for export in Hoa Son... Industry grew strongly during the year due to the accelerated construction progress of many large investment projects in the area such as Song Lam 2 Cement Factory; clean charcoal factory; Hoa Son cassava starch processing factory...

The national target program for building new rural areas continues to be promoted, people actively respond, currently Anh Son district has 2 communes, Hung Son and Cam Son, recognized as meeting new rural standards. The field of culture and society has many positive changes, the quality of education at all levels is constantly improved; population and family planning work is effectively implemented.

Medical examination and treatment are taken care of, preventing epidemics from occurring in the area; social policies, job creation, poverty reduction and social security continue to have many positive changes.

The meeting will approve the draft resolutions for 2016 on socio-economic development tasks, the allocation of state budget revenue and expenditure estimates, the supervision program of the District People's Council, the program of issuing resolutions, dismissal and election of additional positions of the District People's Committee under the authority of the 17th District People's Council.
