Brother almost dragged his brother into jail because of 'white goods'

On October 15, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial of Va Ba Cha (born 1995), residing in Muong Long village, Tri Le commune (Que Phong district) for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".
According to the investigation agency's documents, in April 2020, Va Ba Cha met a man named Than in Tan Lac town (Quy Chau district), the two exchanged phone numbers to contact each other to buy and sell drugs. At noon on June 25, 2020, Than called Cha to order 1 heroin cake and 5 packagespink sheet.

At 3:00 a.m. on June 26, 2020, Cha rode a motorbike to meet Xeng to get drugs. Cha brought the drugs home to hide. Afterwards, Cha invited his younger brother to go to Tan Lac town to play and find a job.
The younger brother did not know his real purpose so he agreed. At 11am that same day, when the two brothers Cha were riding a motorbike, the police asked them to stop for inspection. They discovered in the front air vent of the motorbike a heroin cake weighing 350.58 grams and 5 packages of drugs weighing 96.99 grams.
At the trial, the defendant confessed honestly, admitting all the crimes. The defendant said his younger brother did not know his real purpose; if this mission was successful, Cha would have 15 million VND.
The defendant presented difficult circumstances, many children, his wife just gave birth to their fourth child 4 days ago, so he asked for a reduced sentence.
Considering the case as a whole, the court sentenced defendant Va Ba Cha to 20 years in prison for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.
