Appearing on the Nghe An market for about two years now, UV-protective jackets are currently a best-selling product at stores specializing in Japanese goods. The jackets have a compact design, thin fabric, come in many colors, have good elasticity and sweat absorption, and most importantly, contain materials that protect against ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun.

At a Japanese goods store on Nguyen Van Cu Street, in just one hour, over 10 customers came to buy UV-protective clothing. The majority of customers were women. Although the price was quite high, double or even triple the price of ordinary sun protection clothing, many women were still willing to buy them.

A wide variety of colorful UV-protective clothing is sold in Vinh City.

Ms. Pham Thi Hang from Trung Dinh block, Hung Dung ward, Vinh City shared: "Previously, I used a sun-protective shirt made of coarse fabric bought from the market. After researching and learning that there are UV-protective shirts available on the market, I chose to buy one to replace my old one."

According to some experts, ultraviolet (UV) rays in sunlight can damage skin cells, causing premature aging and increasing the risk of skin cancer. When temperatures are high, especially between 10 am and 3 pm, UV rays can penetrate ordinary fabrics, so even wearing long-sleeved shirts or hats to protect the skin from the harmful effects of sunlight is not enough.

Many women came to choose and buy UV-protective clothing at a store on Nguyen Van Cu Street.

Due to the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays, many fashion brands have produced products with UV-protective components. Among them, sun-protective clothing with superior technology including sun-blocking fibers and UV-protective polyretrame fibers that can block ultraviolet rays and protect the user's skin is sought after by many women.

Currently, in Nghe An province, there are many stores specializing in importing UV-protective clothing from Japanese brands like Uniqlo and Adidas. Adidas UV-protective shirts are quite expensive, costing over 1,500,000 VND per piece. Uniqlo shirts are more affordable, ranging from 460,000 to 650,000 VND per piece. The shirts feature simple designs and come in various colors, including solid colors, plaid patterns, and printed designs, catering to different age groups and consumer preferences.

There are many types of UV-protective clothing suitable for various age groups.

According to some shop owners in Vinh City, this year, even though it's only the beginning of summer, the intense heat has tripled the number of people coming to their stores to buy UV-protective clothing compared to last year. Because of this, there are now many counterfeit sun protection shirts imitating the style and design of genuine UV-protective clothing.
