The beauty is likened to the fairyland of Gruener See Lake, Austria. |
Gruener See Lake, also known as the Blue Lake, located in the province of Styria, southern Austria, has enchantingly clear blue water that allows you to see all the way to the bottom. It is currently facing the risk of becoming cloudy.
Hubert Sulzer of the local Nature and Mountain Conservation Center said “high tourism and a lack of toilets” were among the reasons for the lake’s change in color. Locals are demanding that the government regulate the number of visitors to the Blue Lake. Diving or swimming in the lake has been banned since January 1.

Thousands of tourists come here to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery hidden under the lake water. |
During the summer and late winter of last year, 100,000 tourists visited the lake. The area around Blue Lake is part of a national park. It is a popular destination for divers, hikers, and campers, known for its beautiful underwater world that only emerges in the winter.
When summer comes, the entire vast area is submerged in the clear, alluring blue water of the lake. Trees, benches, bridges and flowers are all located at the bottom of the 12-meter-deep lake.
