Imposing an export tax of 40% on certain types of ore.

The Ministry of Finance has just issued a Circular amending the export tax rates for some mineral products in the Export Tariff Schedule.

The circular takes effect from June 9th.

Accordingly, manganese ore and manganese concentrates, including iron-containing manganese ore and iron-containing manganese concentrates with a manganese content of 20% or more by dry weight, are included in this category.

The export tax rate on copper ore and copper concentrate, lead ore and lead concentrate, and zinc ore and zinc concentrate has increased from 30% to 40%.

As for white limestone (white marble) in block form, the export tax rate has increased from 25% to 30%.
