Arsenal secures top spot, Real equals score with Barca
Arsenal continued to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League after a 2-0 win over Fulham in round 22 last night. Both goals for the Gunners were scored by Santi Cazorla in the second half.
With this victory, Arsenal has 51 points, thereby maintaining a 1 point gap over the team right behind, Man City - the team that had a 4-2 victory over Cardiff.

Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Aston Villa last night, with Luis Suarez failing to score. With only a draw, Liverpool could lose fourth place if Everton beat West Brom on January 21.
In Spain, Real Madrid had a resounding 5-0 victory over the team in the relegation zone this season, Real Betis. Real's goals were divided equally between Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Di Maria and Alvaro Motara.
This victory helps Real equal the 50 points that Barcelona and Atletico have, but have played 1 more match.
