This victory doesn't mean much to Arsenal anymore because they have already officially secured their place in next season's Champions League after Everton "surrendered" with a 2-3 defeat to Man City in last night's late match.

However, this will be a huge motivation for Wenger's team to confidently approach the final match against Norwich City and, more importantly, the FA Cup final against Hull City – a match that could help them win their first trophy in nine years.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recently made some sarcastic remarks directed at Jose Mourinho, stating that Arsenal would rather trade titles than employ the football-killing tactics that the "Special One" imposed on Chelsea.

"We've conceded quite a few goals in some matches. However, that doesn't mean Arsenal aren't trying," Wenger said.

"Arsenal's tactical system has to be based on the quality of its players. We have too many players who are attack-minded. Our philosophy is to attack, even knowing that it carries a lot of risks."

* Following Bayern's 4-1 victory over Hamburg, coach Pep Guardiola admitted that he might leave the team after the season ends.

The Spanish strategist said he would have a conversation with Bayern's sporting director Matthias Sammer and CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge after the Coppa Italia final about his future.

Previously, Pep had criticized Bayern's adoption of the tiki-taka style of play, which he deemed unsuitable for their style, leading to the reigning Champions League champions' humiliating 0-5 defeat against Real Madrid in this season's semi-finals.

According to a report in The Sun, Louis van Gaal will pursue Argentinian Robben if he becomes the manager of Manchester United.

However, if they want to sign Robben, the Old Trafford club may have to spend a considerable amount of money – £25 million.

Furthermore, Robben's current contract with Bayern Munich runs until June 2017. Therefore, it will not be easy for MU to convince the Bavarian club to sell one of the most important players in their squad.

According to L'Equipe, Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes will move to Monaco, and the deal will be officially announced in the near future.

The Spanish goalkeeper's contract with Barca expires at the end of the season, and he is unwilling to sign a new one, having already stated that he will leave when the season concludes.

Monaco's decision to sign Valdes came as a surprise, as the goalkeeper will be sidelined until October after undergoing ligament surgery in March.
