Many beautiful words have been commented on by fans and experts.BBCused to describe the match at the Emirates. "Deserving of a derby", "one of the best matches of the season", or "entertaining battle", "eye-catching every minute"... all are correct.
Arsenal and Chelsea went at it head on, throwing everything they had at it and putting on a thrilling display right up until the final seconds. Mistakes were part of the drama.
Arsenal use three defendersCalum Chambers, Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding. And they were not at ease for a moment. One was slow, the other could not read the situation, leading to Petr Cech's goal shaking many times.
On the contrary, Chelsea could not win this match because of... striker Alvaro Morata. He alone had three chances to face the Arsenal goalkeeper, but either shot wide or hit the opponent.

One of the situations that will be mentioned after this match is the penalty that referee Anthony Taylor awarded to Chelsea in the middle of the second half. In the same dispute in the situation of the ball in the air, taking place inside the Arsenal penalty area, Hector Bellerin kicked the leg, but perhaps not hard enough toEden Hazard rolled over and held his leg in pain.
In many cases, the referees would not have given a penalty because it was a 50-50 contest and took place in a sensitive area. However, the penalty was given immediately. And it was Hazard who stood up and took it successfully, distracting Cech with a shot near the middle of the goal.
A few minutes earlier, Arsenal had opened the scoring thanks to a surprise finish from Jack Wilshere. From a pass from Mesut Ozil and Rob Holding, the home midfielder broke free and finished with his left foot, sending the ball straight into the top left corner of Chelsea's goal. This was Wilshere's first goal in 43 Premier League matches.

The flurry of goals was in stark contrast to the first half, where both teams created a number of chances but failed to capitalise on them. The first notable was Morata's run down the pitch in the 14th minute, putting him in a one-on-one situation with Cech.
However, the Chelsea striker finished wide. It seems that this missed shot also made Morata lose confidence. From then until the end of the match, he often made mistakes, lacking in decisiveness and accuracy.
Just one minute after escaping defeat, Arsenal responded with a close-range shot from Alexis Sanchez. Thibaut Courtois reacted very quickly, pushing the ball against the near post and then to the other post, before being caught by the Chelsea goalkeeper. In the 21st minute, Courtois continued to show his talent, diving to block Alexandre Lacazette's low shot.
In the second half, Arsenal's No. 9 had another chance, but still could not beat Courtois when the entire Chelsea defense was eliminated. That is why one Chelsea fan summed up this match by commenting: "We did not win because of Morata, and we did not lose because of Courtois".
On the other side, Cech also made some excellent saves. Early in the second half, he had to use his foot to block Hazard's shot from the right wing, before diving to deflect Alonso's header to the left.

When the score was level at 1-1, Chelsea continued to play better thanks to their psychological advantage. In the 68th minute, they could have taken the lead if Morata had finished accurately in a face-off with Cech. After the new striker missed the shot, coach Antonio Conte was angry.
He fell to his knees, repeatedly hitting the ground with his hands. In the following dribbling situations, Morata was put in the role of creator, but his decisive passes did not reach Alonso or Hazard.
And when the striker failed to score, Chelsea's most talented defender stepped up. In a rare defensive error this match, Arsenal's left-back wasAinsley Maitland-Niles lets the player come on as a substituteDavide Zappacosta passed to Alonso who cut across Mustafi and then tapped the ball to make it 2-1.
With nothing to lose, manager Arsene Wenger sent Theo Walcott on to replace defender Chambers, then sent his players forward to attack. Center back Mustafi even had a chance to redeem himself with a quick volley but the ball hit a Chelsea player.
And in the second minute of extra time, what Arsenal fans were waiting for finally came. From a high ball situation, Alonso headed the ball out and accidentally passed it to Bellerin who ran in and finished with his right foot, sending the ball past Courtois' reach to equalize 2-2.
