Atletico lose to bottom team in Premier League in TV money
The La Liga giants' television rights revenue is $10 million less than that of the team that was relegated from the Premier League last season - West Brom.
In the 2017-2018 season, West Brom received $127.95 million in Premier League television rights. This is also the lowest amount in this league, while the highest is 202 million for Man City.
Meanwhile, although the 2017-2018 season figures have not been released, experts can still predict that La Liga's television copyright fees will not be much higher than those of the 2016-2017 season. At that time,Atletico received $117 million. The highest amount in La Liga belongs to Barca with172.5 million and followed by Real with 165.3 million.

The Premier League also won in terms of total television rights revenue, with around 3.3 billion. Meanwhile, La Liga, with the same number of teams, only earned 1.47 billion.
The gap between the teams that receive the most and the least in the two leagues is also very different. The Premier League has a difference of only about 74 million, while the gap in La Liga is 126 million.
Because they earn more money, smaller teams in the Premier League can spend more on transfers. As a result, the league is more fierce and competitive than La Liga.
The Premier League's status as a lucrative television "pie" also encourages lower-tier teams to compete for promotion. The final promotion play-off is always considered a match worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
