Audi Q8 revealed ahead of Detroit Auto Show 2017

The Audi Q8 sports SUV has just revealed its first sketch before its official introduction at the Detroit Auto Show 2017 taking place in January 2017 in the US.

Recently, Audi Technical Director - Mr. Ulrich Hackenberg said: "The Q8 model is about to be launched. It will be a completely new model based on the design of the Prologue concept. We position the Q8 in a higher segment, more emotional and sportier than the Q7 model. If the Q7 is a 7-seater, the Q8 will be more like a coupe."

Along with the information released, Audi also revealed a sketch of the Q8's design. This move shows that Audi is ready to bring the Q8 into competition with the BMW X6, Range Rover Sport and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. Compared to its "younger brother" Q7, the Audi Q8 has strong, aggressive lines with a large grille, air vents, and an enlarged front bumper that harmoniously connects with the design details at the front of the car through raised ribs.

The German luxury car company has not yet announced the technical specifications of the Audi Q8. However, the Audi Q8 is said to have a larger design size than the BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe... This model will likely be equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine, in addition to the 4.0-liter V8 RS Q8 turbocharged engine with a maximum capacity of 429 horsepower for the high-end version. The RS Q8 version uses a V8 BiTurbo gasoline engine with a capacity of up to 600 horsepower. In addition, the version using a Plug-in hybrid engine and using all-electric power will also be considered for production.

The Audi Q8 promises to be a breakthrough in Audi's design and technology. This model will be launched at the Detroit Auto Show 2017, before officially being distributed to customers in 2018.
