Audi Q5, A5 and A6 cars in Vietnam are recalled due to sunroof and water pump defects. |
According to the manufacturer, on these vehicles, when it rains, the roof may become wet and cause some sunroof functions to not work properly. Over time, the roof may become wet. This can cause the airbag inflator to corrode and rust, potentially causing the airbag to deploy under undesirable conditions.
On Audi A5, A6 models (using 2.0 TFSI engine) recalled this time, during the manufacturing and assembly process, the control system for the auxiliary coolant pump (the vehicle is equipped with 2 coolant pumps, one main and one auxiliary) may fail, causing the auxiliary water pump to stop working, causing the coolant to boil, leading to the EPC engine warning meter on the dashboard to light up.
For these models, Audi will check for errors and update the software of the auxiliary coolant pump control system (if there is an error).
Asia Auto Company Limited said that in addition to the cars imported and distributed by the company, the company is willing to support customers who are in the category of imported diplomatic cars or those who move assets (overseas Vietnamese returning home) in repairing defective cars with the consent of Audi AG (Germany).
The inspection and repair of the above errors are free of charge and will be carried out at 3 authorized Audi service points nationwide. The expected completion date of this recall is November 1, 2018.
Currently, Audi Q5 2.0L is officially distributed in Vietnam with a price of 2.12 billion VND, while Audi A5 2.0L is priced at 2.04 billion VND, Audi A6 2.0L is priced at 2.16 billion VND.
