Three key topics to be discussed at WEF ASEAN 2018
According to information from the WEF-ASEAN Organizing Committee, the agenda of the World Economic Forum on ASEAN 2018, taking place from September 11 to 13 in Hanoi, will focus on important regional and world issues under three main themes: Regional and global governance; Dynamic economy and business; Social security.

With the theme of Regional and Global Governance, the conference will discuss Asia's New Balance of Power; Asian Economic Outlook; Strengthening the ASEAN Economic Community.
On the theme of dynamic economy and business, the conference will look at the drivers of new business models, the shape of emerging economic systems, and the need for agile governance in the face of digital disruptions that pose massive threats. Sessions will include the Next Frontier of Asian Factory, The Future of Jobs in ASEAN, Designing Cities 4.0.
On social security, the conference will analyze how the Fourth Industrial Revolution can both exacerbate and improve social inequality and vulnerability, through health and education, infrastructure, financial inclusion and governance. Discussions will focus on the 4.0 workplace, sexual harassment in the workplace, and pluralism in ASEAN.
Representing the host country Vietnam, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, along with five Deputy Prime Ministers and 15 ministers, will attend and chair a number of thematic workshops.
The Co-Chairs of the World Economic Forum WEF - ASEAN 2018 include 6 people: Ms. Anne-Birgitte Albrectsen, CEO of Plan International of the UK, Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-Wha, Chairman of CIMB Group of Malaysia Nazir Razak, Acting Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam Nguyen Manh Hung, Global Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company, Hong Kong (China).
