Pawn shop owner robbed of jewelry at knifepoint by young man

Refused to pawn a scooter, a young man held a knife to the neck of a pawnshop owner in Binh Dinh, snatched a gold necklace and escaped.

On the evening of July 2, Mrs. Nguyen Thuy Trang's pawnshop in Tran Quang Dieu ward, Quy Nhon city was deserted. A young man wearing a jeans shirt and riding a scooter came to pawn. After checking and not seeing any vehicle registration, Mrs. Trang refused.

When the shop owner turned away, the man rushed forward, put a knife to her neck, and grabbed her gold necklace. He threatened to kill her, making her not dare to scream, then sped away on his motorbike.

The robber ran more than 700 meters to an empty lot where he was discovered by local residents and police patrolling nearby. The victim was fortunately uninjured.

At the police station, robber Le Van Binh (20 years old) confessed that he owed 30 million VND in gambling money and was constantly being asked to pay, so he pawned his girlfriend's motorbike, but was refused, so he committed the crime.
