Three workers in Quang Ninh died in a mine shaft.
On the morning of July 31st, a workplace accident occurred at the Dong Vong Coal Company Limited (a subsidiary of Uong Bi Coal Company, Quang Ninh province), resulting in the deaths of three workers underground.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 AM at coal seam 643 of the company's mine in Vang Danh ward, Uong Bi city. Immediately after receiving information about the accident, Dong Vong Coal Company mobilized its semi-professional rescue team and functional forces of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group to implement rescue measures.
After about two hours, rescue forces reached the location and brought the three victims out of the mine.
The identities of the three deceased workers are: Tran Minh Thanh - Deputy Foreman, Hoang Minh Duong - Safety Supervisor, and Bui Huy Thuc - Electrical and Mechanical Worker. Authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the cause of the incident.
