The Department of Overseas Labor Management (Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) has just announced the temporary suspension of the sending of workers to work in Saudi Arabia by three labor export companies because these companies have had many incidents during the process of sending workers to work but have been slow to handle them, affecting the rights and legitimate interests of workers.

The three companies that were penalized are Bao Viet Trade and Labor Export Joint Stock Company (TAYLO), Nhat Minh International Joint Stock Company (NAMICO), and Thanh Hoa Labor Export and Expert Services Joint Stock Company (LEESCO). The suspension period for sending workers to work as domestic workers in Saudi Arabia is three months from November 16.

During the three-month suspension, the Overseas Labor Management Department requires the three companies not to sign and register contracts to supply domestic workers, and not to select and train domestic workers to send to Saudi Arabia.

These three companies must also rectify the selection, training, and provision of necessary knowledge for workers and the labor management apparatus in Saudi Arabia. Coordinate with the Vietnam Labor Management Board in Saudi Arabia to thoroughly resolve arising and pending cases related to workers sent by the three companies to work as domestic workers in Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, to rectify the activities of sending workers to work as domestic workers in Saudi Arabia by all enterprises, on November 12, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Official Dispatch No. 4644/LĐTBXH - QLLĐNN requesting enterprises to strictly implement regulations on conditions of contracts for providing domestic workers, recruitment, training, reporting, labor management, and resolving arising problems.

The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also requires businesses to strictly report the list of workers participating in the domestic worker training program, the list of workers applying for Saudi Arabia domestic worker visas, and the list of domestic workers in Saudi Arabia in accordance with regulations to manage workers and handle arising problems./.
