60-year-old woman stuffed 8kg of gold around her body trying to enter Vietnam
An Giang province authorities have just arrested a case of illegal transportation of 8kg of gold and 100 million Riel across the Vietnam - Cambodia border.

Tinh Bien International Border Gate Customs Branch (An Giang Customs Department) said that at around 7:15 a.m. on March 11, this Branch coordinated with functional forces in the Tinh Bien International Border Gate area (An Giang) to conduct an administrative inspection of Ms. Vuoch Hea (born in 1957), residing in Preah Bat Chon Chum commune, Kirivong district, Takeo province (Kingdom of Cambodia) while she was driving a motorbike across the Vietnam - Cambodia border area due to many suspicious signs.
Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that Ms. Vuoch Hea was carrying 100 million Riel (Cambodian currency, equivalent to 570 million Vietnamese Dong) on her person, so they invited her to the headquarters of the Tinh Bien International Border Gate Customs Branch (An Giang Customs Department) for questioning.
Here, Ms. Vuoch Hea took out from her belt 8 pieces of 9999 gold-colored metal (suspected gold) with a total weight of 8kg. Ms. Vuoch Hea confessed that this was the first time she transported money and gold in large quantities across the Vietnamese border.
Tinh Bien Border Gate Customs Branch has drawn up a record, temporarily detained the exhibits and vehicles for further investigation.
