(Baonghean.vn) - While crossing the street, the driver of a 4-seater car failed to observe, causing three cars to crash into each other, causing traffic congestion that lasted more than 2 km.

The accident occurred on the afternoon of April 22 on National Highway 1A through Cau Giat town (Quynh Luu), injuring a car driver, damaging three cars, and paralyzing traffic in both directions for about 30 minutes.

At around 3:30 p.m., the driver of a 4-seater car with license plate 37A - 12598 was driving in front of Duc Tai Tam Dat supermarket when he crossed the street to enter the supermarket. Due to surprise and lack of observation, he was hit on the left side by a container truck with license plate 51C - 63010 pulling a trailer 51R - 12611 going in the opposite direction.

At the same time, the passenger bus with license plate 15B - 02423 running behind the container truck continued to crash into the two vehicles, causing all three vehicles to stick together.

Because three cars were stuck together, a series of other cars turned around to enter the supermarket, blocking the road, causing traffic on both sides to be stuck and unable to move.

Traffic police of Quynh Luu district promptly arrived to separate lanes and clear traffic after more than 30 minutes.
