Ms. Thai Huong won the Asian Entrepreneur Award
In Ho Chi Minh City, the name of Ms. Thai Huong - Chairwoman of TH Group was announced with the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award (APEA) in 2017.
This is the first time the Award has been voted in Vietnam by Enterprise Asia. The Asian Entrepreneurship Awards is a leading prestigious business award in the Asia Pacific region with the aim of recognizing and connecting leading entrepreneurs in the region to create innovation, fairness and business development.
She received the Award for making her mark as an outstanding business leader with outstanding achievements and innovation in Vietnam.
The creator of the "clean milk road"
In 2008, faced with the reality that Vietnam imported up to 92% of powdered milk - mainly powdered milk from the Chinese market for reconstitution, while the Chinese dairy industry was also shaken by the news of milk contaminated with melamine causing many children to suffer from kidney disease - that was the climax for her to make a bold and courageous decision: to make milk right on her homeland's land so that all Vietnamese children could drink clean, fresh milk.

TH Farm started construction in 2009, after only 6 years, TH Group had a herd of 45,000 dairy cows, was recognized as the Record of the Largest High-Tech Dairy Farm in Asia and achieved certain successes. Up to now, TH has accounted for more than 40% of the fresh milk market share in Vietnam, contributing to changing the nature of the Vietnamese dairy industry.
The highlight of the Project is the words “fresh” and “clean” that she built. The word “fresh” is difficult because although Vietnam has a lot of land, the weather and climate are hot and humid, making it difficult to raise dairy cows. At the same time, dairy farming in Vietnam is still very fragmented, so it is difficult to compete.
She has been struggling with the questions: why do countries like Thailand, the Netherlands, the US, Israel... also produce agriculture but they have high productivity, good quality, and consume a lot of goods at very competitive prices?
The answer she found was: They focused on large-scale production, concentrated, applied science and technology and management science to the production and consumption process thoroughly from the beginning to the end, making the most of their advantages to become competitive advantages and develop, so they achieved success.

From the success of the Nghe An Milk Project, TH Group continues to survey and research the construction of a dairy farm and a milk processing plant. Ha Giang is the key area chosen by the group to invest in a similar production chain in Nghe An. On November 27, she, along with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and representatives of ministries and the People's Committee of Ha Giang province, shoveled the first shovels of soil to break ground for the project.
After Nghe An and Ha Giang, TH Group continued to invest in building dairy farms in Thanh Hoa province (20,000 cows), Phu Yen (20,000 cows) and Soc Trang (10,000 cows). In particular, in 2016, she implemented the "super project" of dairy farming, milk processing and food projects in the Russian Federation with an investment capital of 2.7 billion USD.
Thus, in the near future, TH dairy farms will be established in many economic regions of Vietnam, helping to quickly access the domestic market, compensate for the amount of imported milk and begin the process of "bringing Vietnamese milk to the world" with the first milestone being the Russian Federation.
No natural variation
After dairy cows, TH Group has moved on to doing business under the forest canopy, building herbal farms and preserving and exploiting the best herbs to serve people.
Ms. Huong affirmed: "Our milk and food projects will definitely be successful because they are based on the most humane elements of the brand, which are sharing, kindness and community health."
Currently, in addition to the Milk Project, TH Group is operating medicinal herb and clean vegetable farms in Nghe An; is joining hands to create a clean rice and clean vegetable project in Thai Binh, medicinal herb farms in the most difficult areas of Vietnam such as Ha Giang, Son La, Dien Bien...

Ms. Thai Huong calls it the process of creating an organic food ecosystem. Her path follows a fairly clear and well-planned roadmap.
She is currently targeting a number of products: Milk and dairy products combined with Vietnamese herbal plants; Groups of rare Vietnamese medicinal herbs grown in Ha Giang, Yen Bai...; Rice varieties with quality and nutritional content that are rated higher than Japanese rice (such as Nang Oi-Muong Long rice, Rong-Do Luong sticky rice, Nghe An); Peanuts; Sesame; Avocado; Hawthorn.
For sustainable development, she affirmed that TH Group does not follow the direction of applying genetic modification technology, using chemicals to "force" plants, "force" land to provide food for humans.
TH's approach is to maximize the value of native plant varieties, preserve Mother Nature's creations, respect the laws of nature, not force nature, not change nature (like genetic modification) because according to her, protecting nature is protecting the health of the community.
