Ms. Thai Huong won the Outstanding Achievement Award at Gulfood (Dubai)
(Baonghean.vn)- On February 22, at the Gulfood International Fair in Dubai 2016, Ms. Thai Huong - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of TH Group - the owner of the fresh milk brand TH True MILK was named to receive the Gulfood Outstanding Achievement Awards for outstanding individuals who have contributed to the fresh milk revolution in Vietnam. This is the first time a Vietnamese entrepreneur has won this prestigious award.
Gulfood Dubai is the world's largest annual fair for agricultural products, food and beverages. Gulfood 2016 took place from February 21 to February 25, with 4,800 exhibiting companies and 85,000 customers from 170 countries. In the dairy processing sector alone, 237 companies participated, including Fontera, Friestlandcampina, Nestle, Organic Valley, Frischli Milchwerke. The fair also attracted 24 large Vietnamese companies, including Vinamilk, Hapro, etc.

According to the Organizing Committee, within the framework of the Fair, there are 21 award categories, focusing on considering new ideas, innovation and especially the dedication of individuals or businesses to society. However, there is only 1 award for dedicated individuals. This year's award was voted on a total of 300 profiles of 300 CEOs and businesses from 20 countries. The results were kept confidential until the last minute and were only announced at the Gala Dinner on February 21.
TH Group attended the Fair for the first time, registering to participate in 5 award categories. During the Gala night, TH Group was named as the winner of 3 biggest awards and Top 5 Best New Brand categories, including a special award for Ms. Thai Huong.

Dr. Alima Shaikh - CEO and founder of Heera Foodex (the sole sponsor of the Gulfood Awards) emphasized that the Judging Council awarded Ms. Thai Huong the Outstanding Achievement Award for her revolutionary actions in the Vietnamese dairy market by changing the structure of the Vietnamese liquid milk industry, increasing the proportion of fresh milk from 5% in 2009 (when TH was founded) to 30% in 2015. She is known as the powerful "milk woman" of Vietnam and was voted by the prestigious financial magazine Forbes as one of the 50 most powerful businesswomen in Asia (2015). She is currently fighting to change regulations on liquid milk packaging labels towards transparency of the origin of input materials so that consumers have the right to choose, encouraging the production of fresh milk domestically.
With her outstanding thinking, Ms. Thai Huong has oriented to produce food according to Halal standards, "advancing" into the markets of Muslim countries, anticipating the integration process. Products according to these standards are also in line with her orientation of pursuing the production of fresh, clean, organic products, aiming at the core value of "For community health". Currently, TH Group has 42 products certified as Halal. All TH Group's milk products are confirmed to be free of prohibited ingredients (not contaminated with impurities, prohibited substances according to Islamic beliefs) and ensure "PURITY" in the production process.

Along with the individual award, TH Group also won two major awards: The best initiative award for school health in the clean fresh milk project for schools in Vietnam and the best new product award.
The Best Health Education Initiative awards for TH School MILK were given based on product quality and the assessment that TH Group is the first enterprise in Vietnam to produce fresh milk for schools supplemented with micronutrients. The product was tested on 3,600 students in 2013-2014 and was certified by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health for its effectiveness in improving the nutritional and micronutrient status of children. This award once again affirms the superior quality of the product and its significance to the community. In May 2015, TH School MILK was also awarded the Best Asean Food Product award.
Along with evaluating product criteria, the award also highly appreciated TH Group's pioneering implementation of the School Milk Program in Vietnam. The successful implementation of the School Milk Program is a great achievement in implementing the Government's Overall Project on Developing the Physical Strength and Stature of Vietnamese People, creating conditions for children in the golden age of physical development to drink milk at school, improving nutrition, enhancing the stature and intelligence of Vietnamese people. This is also a great contribution of TH in developing human resources, enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese workers.
The Best New Frozen or Chilled Product Award for TH True Matcha Green Tea Yogurt was highly appreciated for its exceptional creativity and unique flavor. The organizers emphasized that TH Group's Yogurt products are much more competitive than those of famous brands, including Yoplait - the world's largest brand of yogurt products. With a closed cycle, using 100% fresh milk produced from TH farms and processed at TH fresh milk factory, TH True Matcha Green Tea Yogurt has fully met the most stringent requirements for quality and food safety and has been well received and supported by consumers.

Previously, TH true MILK products won the ASEAN Best Food Product Award in 2015 and won many Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards at the World Food Moscow 2015, Russian Federation.
