Ms. Tymoshenko promises to help the new President of Ukraine
On April 2, presidential candidate and Batkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko said that her team would help any president elected by the Ukrainian people.
The second round of presidential elections will be held on April 21. Parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be held in October 2019.

“We will not miss the half-year period before the parliamentary elections. We will help any president the country chooses,” Ms. Tymoshenko said at a press conference, which was broadcast live on her personal Facebook page.
According to her, her team will share with the new head of state the concepts and strategies incorporated in Ms. Tymoshenko's election program called “New Direction.”
Election results announced on April 1 showed that Mr. Zelensky won more than 30% of the votes in the first round held on March 31, nearly double the 16% of votes won by incumbent President Petro Poroshenko.
The two candidates will meet in the second round on April 21, after 93% of the votes were counted, showing that former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and dozens of other candidates had to stop the race.
