Noble gesture from BAC A BANK
With a total value of 500 million VND, the school has two new classrooms with a total area of 80m2.2, along with toilets, playgrounds and spacious fences.
Ban Chang is the most disadvantaged school among the four schools of Quang Ngan Kindergarten. Meanwhile, Quang Ngan is also a commune in a particularly disadvantaged area of Ha Giang province with 90% of the population being Dao ethnic people, and the average income per capita is only 18 million VND/person/year.

To date, Chang village and many other villages in the commune still have no electricity or phone signal. Due to lack of rooms, in the 2019-2020 school year, kindergarten students at Chang village had to study in the already cramped classrooms of the primary school a few hundred meters away.
Receiving the connection information and survey images from the Fund for Vietnamese Stature and the Today's Rural Newspaper/Dan Viet Electronic Newspaper, the BAC A BANK Youth Union agreed to use the entire amount of 250 million VND from the sale of fundraising uniforms to support the construction of a spacious, clean and beautiful school for the children.

Unable to hide her emotion, Ms. Phan Thi Sau (25 years old), a resident of Ban Chang village, whose 3-year-old son is studying at the kindergarten, said: "The children's previous classroom was very dilapidated. On days of heavy rain and strong winds, I did not dare to send my children to school because I was afraid of danger, the classroom was not safe. Now seeing the new, spacious and beautiful school, we are very happy and secure. This has been a long-standing dream of the villagers, and now it has come true."
Bringing warmth to children in especially difficult areasAt the inauguration ceremony of the school, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee also noted: "The project has a very practical meaning, creating favorable conditions for children to go to school, reducing the burden on the main school, and at the same time expanding the scale of the kindergarten to meet the needs of children to study and play, thereby contributing to the development of local education".

With the construction of 2 new classrooms and auxiliary works including toilets, fences, playgrounds, the project has brought a spacious, airy, safe and friendly learning environment for children in the mountainous areas who still have many deprivations. Ms. Hoang Thi Dung, principal of Quang Ngan Kindergarten, said that previously, preschool students had to study in a dilapidated room with wooden walls. The classroom was seriously degraded, and during the rainy season, rainwater splashed in, causing the children to suffer from the cold.
“Every time I stand in class and see the children suffering from the cold and wet, I feel so sorry. In the past few days, teachers and students have been eagerly waiting for the inauguration of the new classrooms,” Ms. Dung happily said.

At the same time, the BAC A BANK Youth Union donated 40 sets of folding beds, contributing to warm naptimes at school and 2 sets of outdoor toys, helping children have comfortable and happy playing hours right in the schoolyard.
The inauguration and putting into use of Ban Chang school is even more meaningful to the government and people of Ha Giang as it was completed on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the founding, 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of Ha Giang province and 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to the locality.
