'Gray hair, short life' when working as a coach in the Premier League
Former England player Ian Wright recently commented that West Ham FC's recent dismissal of coach Slaven Bilic was like a relief, saving this Croatian coach from collapsing due to too much pressure.
Bilic's case also shows the harshness of the coaching profession in the Premier League. Therefore, Manchester United (MU) coach Jose Mourinho always asserts that there will be no more coaches leading a Premier League club for more than 10 years once current Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger retires in the next 1-2 years.

The constant anxiety of coaches when working in the Premier League |
According to Mr. Mourinho, competition, pressure and all sorts of other things to deal with make the environment of being a coach in the Premier League extremely harsh. If successful, the position will last at most 2-3 years.
Leicester City's legendary coach Claudio Ranieri helped the team win the Premier League for the first time in its 133-year history, but was fired the following season after a slump.
Since the beginning of this season, after only 11 rounds, a total of 4 coaches have been fired, and it will not stop in just 1-2 rounds, the "list" of departures will increase with 4-5 other coaches being put in a situation where if they lose, they will be fired immediately, such as coaches Paul Clement (Swansea), Tony Pulis (West Brom) or Mauricio Pellegrino (Southampton)...
According to Mr. Wright: “Being a manager in the Premier League is really a shortcoming. You cannot work in a situation where the club plays 1-2 games without a good result and then you are fired immediately. The pressure is terrible. Like Bilic, as a friend of his, I am happy that West Ham sacked him. Bilic needs to get away from that pressure to rest and stay healthy. Otherwise he will collapse.”
According to Mr. Wright, the image of coach Bilic in 2017 was truly miserable, his face always tense and worried, very different from 2 years ago when he first arrived full of vitality and ideas to help West Ham rank 7th in his first season in charge.

Not only Mr. Bilic, the coaches who are about to be fired like Mr. Clement at Swansea, at the end of last season were considered heroes because they helped the club stay in the league. But now, Swansea is second to last in the rankings, so this coach's style is not the same as a few months ago. The same goes for coach Pulis at West Brom, he is no longer enthusiastic and admits that he is under terrible pressure, he has aged because he is constantly thinking about how to get his team out of a difficult situation when he only has 10 points after 11 matches.
However, the magic of being a coach in the Premier League is something that managers cannot refuse, even though they know for sure that it will "shorten their life and turn white", but they still do it. For example, coach David Moyes is rumored to accept the position of leading West Ham to replace Mr. Bilic. Mr. Moyes was also called a "walking corpse" by the British press last season when he contributed to the relegation of Sunderland.
