During nearly 3 decades of working, from a diagnostic imaging doctor to now being the dynamic Deputy Director of the Paraclinical Department and Head of the Department of Functional Exploration, Cua Dong General Hospital, no matter what position he holds, he has always devoted himself to his work with all his passion.
Every day, he works diligently with ultrasound images, examining every detail to find abnormalities inside the patient's body, always facing difficulties and challenges, but there he always finds joy to devote himself.
When the surgeon opens the liver, he sees the abscess and observes the color and smell of the fluid. The radiologist can know what the abscess is before the surgery. With the support of modern medical equipment (X-ray, ultrasound), the doctor can "see through" the internal structure of the patient's body that the naked eye cannot observe, and can see the disease before treatment, so it is a very interesting feeling. During many years of work, Dr. Huynh Phuc Tho actively participated in scientific research with 6 research topics recognized by Nghe An Department of Health. In particular, in addition to diagnosis, Dr. Huynh Phuc Tho also directly treated urinary stones by extracorporeal lithotripsy, screened for breast and thyroid cancer by imaging combined with subcutaneous aspiration, guided by ultrasound and proven by scientific research topics...
To his colleagues, he is not only a dedicated leader, but also a professional master, someone who inspires passion for the profession to the next generations.

During his years in the medical profession, in addition to fulfilling his mission as a physician to examine, detect diseases, and save people, Doctor CK1 Huynh Phuc Tho also actively participates in tasks for community health.
He has 5 years of direct participation in malaria prevention and control work in villages and hamlets of remote mountainous districts such as Ky Son, Que Phong...; 21 years of working in medical examination and treatment for patients; actively participating in voluntary medical examination and charity work for poor patients treated at Cua Dong General Hospital; "Warm clothes for children" program in remote mountainous communes.

In parallel with professional work, in the management position as Deputy Director of Cua Dong General Hospital, Doctor CKI Huynh Phuc Tho always promotes the role of "locomotive" in all activities; enthusiastically and actively advises the Board of Directors to build a long-term plan for the development of the Hospital such as: Participating in the construction and implementation of the Project "Satellite Hospital of Bach Mai Hospital", receiving and implementing the technology transfer techniques of Bach Mai Hospital; Expanding professional cooperation with central hospitals (Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Hue Medical University Hospital, 108 Central Hospital) to improve the professional qualifications of the team of doctors and the quality and effectiveness of medical examination and treatment for the people.
In recognition of these tireless efforts, Doctor Huynh Phuc Tho was honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 for his outstanding achievements in building and developing the Hospital and is being proposed for the title of Meritorious Physician.
After decades of working as a diagnostic imaging doctor, Doctor Huynh Phuc Tho cannot remember how many times he has discovered abnormalities on images, helping patients escape "death's door".
