Doctors warn of 10 taboo cases in which eating garlic can be fatal.
When you are suffering from these diseases, stay away from garlic if you do not want to bring more diseases into your body.
Garlic has long been an indispensable spice in the family kitchen. Not only is it delicious, garlic is also said to cure many diseases. However, if you do not know the following cases where you should avoid eating garlic, you may bring more diseases to your body.
Note that the following cases should not eat garlic:
1. Eye diseases
Garlic contains ingredients that irritate the mucous membranes and conjunctival tissue of the eyes, so people with poor eyesight and eye diseases are advised by experts to limit their garlic intake.
2. Low blood pressure
People with low blood pressure should limit garlic, consuming a lot of garlic often lowers blood pressure, even to dangerous levels.
3. History of liver disease
Many people believe that garlic has antibacterial properties and eating a lot can prevent hepatitis. Some people even persist in eating garlic every day after suffering from liver disease. But this is a way of doing things that "does more harm than good".
People with liver disease (especially those with liver heat) eating garlic will make the liver hotter, causing strong stimulation, leading to long-term damage to this organ.
4. Cholera
Although beneficial for the stomach, for those suffering from cholera, garlic is a food to avoid.
This is because allicin in garlic increases intestinal wall irritation, leading to blood vessel congestion and edema, which can make the condition worse or cause unwanted complications.
5. Do not combine garlic with the following foods
- Chicken: dysentery
- Eggs: create toxins
Grass carp: leads to bloating
6. When hungry
Eating garlic when hungry or eating garlic without other foods can easily lead to stomach ulcers. Because allicin (a component of garlic) can easily cause the antibiotic properties in garlic to take effect, leading to heat in the stomach.
7. When using medication
Like chili and many other spicy spices, garlic has some side effects for people who are seriously ill and are taking medication. In case of taking some medications such as anticoagulants, HIV/AIDS drugs... patients should not eat garlic, because it can cause some harmful effects to health.
9. Do not overuse garlic
Garlic is classified as a spicy spice. Eating too much can cause an imbalance in the stomach environment, leading to loss of appetite, fatigue, weight loss, and even affect the kidneys, damage blood circulation, and increase the risk of infertility in men.
Garlic is good, but you should not eat too much or too often. A maximum of 10g of garlic per day is enough.
10. When using anticoagulants
Garlic is a natural anticoagulant, which helps blood circulate well, preventing blood clots, heart attacks and strokes. However, when garlic is consumed with other anticoagulants, it will cause the blood to circulate too quickly.
