"Hide" from mom to do homework
The essay topic of this assignment was not too difficult when the Literature teacher of class 11A5 – Nguyen Xuan On High School asked the students to introduce Nguyen Dinh Chieu, the author of the poem “Van te nghia si Can Giuoc”. However, in order for students to develop their abilities, the teacher also asked them to show creativity in their work.

This request from the teacher is not new, because before that, the students of class 11A5 had many practical exercises like this. However, because it is too familiar, it is not easy to "renew" the assignment. Before starting to implement, the group of students of class 11A5 also came up with many different ideas such as drawing mind maps, presenting with power point. Finally, after nearly a morning of debate, the idea of redrawing the biography of poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu according to the facebook interface proposed by 2 students Ha Phuong and Thu Giang received the highest approval.
This is also the first time the group has presented in this new format. Before starting to do it, the group also encountered many difficulties, because Nguyen Dinh Chieu - besides being a poet, is also a patriotic and brave person. Therefore, when presenting using the Facebook interface, the students were afraid that there would be many opposing opinions and that this presentation method was not serious.
Talking about this, student Vuong Thanh Binh - the group leader also shared: My mother is a Literature teacher at school, but during the process of doing this exercise, I "hid" it from her because I was afraid she would object. We struggled to express ourselves in the most natural way.

To overcome this limitation, the group discussed to choose the most "expensive" detail and tried to present it in an easy-to-understand and humorous way through 7 illustrations.
The first picture is quite impressive as the students have introduced the full portrait of poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu with all the information about his hometown, father and mother's names. In particular, the information about "being married" to Le Thi Dien makes everyone excited, true to the "style" of Facebook. Or the picture recreating the image of Nguyen Dinh Chieu taking the exam at Gia Dinh Examination School is also very interesting with the comment "Sir, take care of your health on your way".

Special 10 points
Along with this picture, the group of students from group 1, class 11A5 also had 10 minutes to present their assignment. Witnessing the students' performance, teacher Nguyen Lam Thuy - Literature teacher said: The type of question for students to develop their abilities is not new in our school and students have also experimented quite a lot. However, this is the first time a group of students has presented an assignment about the life of an author that is so interesting and elaborate.

Therefore, when the students finished this essay, we were really happy, because it proved that they were not indifferent to literature as some had long thought. As teachers, we also had to make efforts to innovate in teaching to create interest for students, encourage them to demonstrate their abilities. Through this form, students also learned skills in working in groups and increased the connection and closeness between members of the class.
