(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, environmental pollution from waste is a pressing issue among the masses. However, many localities still do not have a waste landfill planning, allowing waste to spread and pollute the environment and water sources, including a typical example such as Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong district.
On March 18, Vo Liet Commune Youth Union coordinated with Dang Thuc Hua High School to organize Green Sunday, mobilizing more than 1,300 union members to clean up trash at the foot of Ro Bridge.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang - Secretary of the Youth Union of Vo Liet commune shared: "To completely eliminate the environmental black spot at the foot of Ro bridge, the union members cleaned up and destroyed the garbage under the bridge, and at the same time built a volleyball court here, creating a healthy and clean environment at the foot of Ro bridge".

The activity also received a large response from the people. According to statistics, currently there are about 30 - 40 households participating in supporting the purchase of nets for football fields, sand for construction, electricity, etc.

Garbage flooded Lam River bank through Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - Lam River, the section passing through Ro Bridge, Vo Liet Commune, Thanh Chuong District (Nghe An) has been turned into a garbage dumping ground by local residents. If this situation is not resolved, the Lam River's water source will be seriously affected.
