Former Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Le Nam Thang said he was the author of the poem that many people mistakenly believe was written by Tran Lap for his wife before he passed away. "The afternoon after Tran Lap's funeral, when I read articles and saw photos about his passing, I felt so moved that I wrote this poem and posted it on my personal page 'Nam Thang Khanh Chung' as well as on the page 'Tinh doi'", the author shared.

The original poem only had eight stanzas, then he added a stanza, edited some sentences, and added the English line "In memory of beloved rocker Tran Lap" so that people would not understand that this was a poem the male singer sent to his wife before he passed away.

The former Deputy Minister said he did not know singer Tran Lap, but was just a fellow Nam Dinh native. "Before he became seriously ill, Mr. Lap was known to everyone like other singers and musicians, but in the last four months he shone with admirable thoughts, actions, and determination, leaving behind much love and sorrow for everyone, including me," said Mr. Le Nam Thang.

The poem was shared by many people on social networks, some said it was Tran Lap's poem to his wife, some even claimed it was their own poem. "I think everyone loves Lap so they did that, I didn't think anything of it," said the author of the poem.

In addition to this poem, Mr. Le Nam Thang also wrote another poem called Warrior, about Tran Lap's friends in the motorcycle club who took him to his final resting place and shared it on his personal page.

* Poem You're Gone

You're gone, the sun sets in the middle of spring
You stay, don't be sad
I am still young and you are still very young.
My little woman

You're gone, life is still green
Stay here and don't cry.
Even though I know your heart is aching now
Be strong and continue the long journey.

You're gone, there's no tomorrow.
This trip is different from the previous ones.
No return date but my feet must go
Far away and forever will be separated

You left, the scent still lingers on my lips
The smell of your hair when we first met
Husband and wife love is still passionate
Years of love have not faded

You're gone, life is full of thorns
I will have to struggle alone
I can't help you forever.
Sorry I can't be with you

You're gone, everything will be fine.
Sadness also fades with time
The night passed and the sky gradually brightened.
In the blue sky I will always watch over you

You left, taking all your feelings with you.
Pity the hard-working woman
I have been with you through the storms of life
It's just a pity that you're left in the middle of the ocean.

You're gone, I'll be lonely
If I ever meet someone who truly loves me
Don't be shy you have nothing to lose
Thank you for bringing me to life

I'm gone, don't cry anymore baby
To keep children strong through storms
Goodbye little woman
The sun is setting, I have to go.
