The song 'Tien Quan Ca' officially becomes the common property of the country.
On the afternoon of July 15, at the National Assembly Office, a ceremony was held to receive the song “Tien Quan Ca” from the family of musician Van Cao; at the same time, the President posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal to the late musician Van Cao and presented the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit to Ms. Nghiem Thuy Bang (wife of the late musician Van Cao).

The reception ceremony was attended by Politburo member, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Former Politburo member, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung; Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Phung Quoc Hien; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, representatives of central ministries, departments and branches... Ms. Nghiem Thuy Bang and the entire family of the late musician Van Cao.
Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan expressed her emotion at having the honor to represent the Party, State and people to witness the reception of the song “Tien Quan Ca”. The song “Tien Quan Ca” was composed during the days when the country was boiling with uprisings and independence.
This is an honor and pride that no other musical work has ever had. And in order for the song to be known to more people, the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is to convey and popularize the song more widely to the public.
Following the wishes of the late musician Van Cao and his entire family who wanted to dedicate the song "Tien Quan Ca" to the people and the Fatherland of Vietnam; implementing the direction of the National Assembly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proactively coordinated with the Office of the National Assembly and the Committees, Ministries and branches to sign the Document to donate the song "Tien Quan Ca" on December 28, 2015, certified by a notary public in accordance with the provisions of law.
