Clicking on the license plate with five 6s, young man sells Wave Alpha for 235 million VND
A young man in Ca Mau was lucky enough to get a five-digit license plate 666.66 for his Wave Alpha motorbike and decided to sell it for 235 million VND.
On July 14, Mr. Le Hoang Phuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Bang commune, Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province informed that a citizen in the area had just gotten a license plate with five 6s at the commune police headquarters.
“Not many people come to the commune to register and get a license plate. This is the first time someone has gotten such a nice license plate,” Mr. Phuong added.
According to initial information, on July 12, Mr. Nguyen Nhut Kiem (25 years old, residing in Tan Bang commune) went to the commune police headquarters to register and get a license plate for his newly purchased Wave Alpha motorbike.
Here, Mr. Kiem was lucky to get the license plate number: 69D1- 666.66 to the surprise of many people.
Mr. Kiem said that his main job is a marketing staff, so he has to move a lot and his old motorbike often breaks down. After a long time of saving, he was able to buy a Wave Alpha motorbike for nearly 19 million VND.
“I sold my car with a five-digit license plate when someone asked for 235 million VND and bought another car to go to work. I am a worker and driving a car with a nice license plate doesn’t bring me any benefits,” Mr. Kiem shared.
The above transfer value is more than 12 times higher than the original price of the Wave Alpha. Previously, many motorbike models with five-digit 6 license plates were traded at extremely expensive prices. For example, in September 2022, a Vespa 946 Christian Dior with five-digit 6 license plates was offered for sale at 3.5 billion VND while the original price was 700 million VND. In May 2022, a Honda Super Cub with license plate 29X7-666.66 was offered for up to 800 million VND while the original price was only about 85 million VND....
