The Provincial Steering Committee assigned the 2023 defense area exercise task to Ky Son and Con Cuong districts.

In 2023, the Provincial Steering Committee assigned the task of organizing the defense area drill in Ky Son district and the defense area drill in Con Cuong district with the topic: Moving armed forces into combat readiness, moving localities into defense status; organizing preparations and practicing combat operations to firmly protect the district defense area.

The exercise is divided into 3 phases: Phase 1: Putting the armed forces into combat readiness, putting the locality into defense status; Phase 2: Organizing preparations for defensive operations; Phase 3: Practicing operations. The drill checks the mobilization readiness of 1 Infantry Company under the District Infantry Battalion; Ky Son District Border Guard Station coordinates with the Militia force to fight the enemy invading the border; Infantry Company 1 under the Con Cuong District Infantry Battalion coordinates with ambush forces to fight the enemy...

Concluding the task assignment session, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the exercise highly appreciated the preparation work for the exercise tasks of the Steering Committees for the exercise of Ky Son district and Con Cuong district, and agreed with the content, intention and time of the exercise of the districts.

To complete the task welldefense zone drillsKy Son district and Con Cuong district in 2023, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Steering Committees of the district exercises to thoroughly disseminate to all levels, sectors, organizations and people to clearly understand the purpose, requirements and importance of the exercise, enhance the responsibility of the participating forces, promote the combined strength of the entire political system to ensure the most effective exercise; do well all preparatory work, especially building the Exercise Command Center, plans, contents and exercise roles. Along with that, carefully study the documents to apply them to practical exercises; organize the mobilization of forces, means and materials to ensure sufficient conditions for participation in the exercise; closely coordinate between the standing agency with departments, branches and establishments so that the preparation and practice of the exercise achieve the best results.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh requested to strengthen inspection work and organize some mock drills to gain experience, at the same time unify the drill contents for agencies and units, assign specific forces and means for each drill content to meet the requirements. During the preparation and practice process, attention must be paid to disease prevention and control and ensuring food hygiene and safety for the forces.

The defense area exercise in Ky Son and Con Cuong districts is expected to take place in August 2023./.
