The Provincial Exercise Steering Committee assigned the task of the 2023 defense area exercise to Ky Son and Con Cuong districts.

In 2023, the Provincial Steering Committee assigned the task of organizing the defense area drill of Ky Son district and the defense area drill of Con Cuong district with the theme: Moving the armed forces into a state of combat readiness, moving the locality into a state of national defense; organizing preparations and practicing combat operations to firmly protect the district defense area.

The exercise is divided into 3 phases: Phase 1: Putting the armed forces into combat readiness, putting the locality into defense status; Phase 2: Organizing preparations for defensive operations; Phase 3: Practicing operations. The drill checks the mobilization readiness of 1 Infantry Company of the District Infantry Battalion; Ky Son District Border Guard Station coordinates with the Militia force to fight the enemy invading the border; Infantry Company 1 of the Con Cuong District Infantry Battalion coordinates with ambush forces to fight the enemy...

Speaking at the conclusion of the task assignment session, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the exercise highly appreciated the preparation work for the exercise tasks of the Steering Committee for the exercise of Ky Son district and Con Cuong district, and agreed with the content, intention, and time of the exercise of the districts.

To complete the task welldefense zone exerciseRegarding the 2023 drills in Ky Son and Con Cuong districts, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Steering Committees of the districts to thoroughly disseminate to all levels, sectors, organizations and people the purpose, requirements and importance of the drills, enhance the responsibility of the participating forces, promote the combined strength of the entire political system to ensure the most effective drills; do well all preparation work, especially building the Drill Command Center, plans, contents and drill roles. Along with that, carefully study the documents to apply them to practical exercises; organize the mobilization of forces, means and materials to ensure sufficient conditions for participating in the drills; closely coordinate between the standing agency with departments, sectors and bases so that the preparation and practice of the drills achieve the best results.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh requested to strengthen inspection and organize some practice exercises to gain experience, and at the same time unify the practice contents for agencies and units, assign specific forces and means for each practice content to meet the requirements. During the preparation and practice process, attention must be paid to disease prevention and control and ensuring food hygiene and safety for the forces.

The defense area exercise in Ky Son and Con Cuong districts is expected to take place in August 2023./.
