The Northwest Steering Committee held a working session in Ky Son.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 19th, a working group from the Northwest Steering Committee, led by Mr. Vu Hong Hai - Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, held a meeting with the Ky Son District Party Committee.Inspect the implementation of policies and guidelines on mass mobilization, ethnic affairs, and religion in the district.

Accompanying the delegation were representatives from the Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Comrade Luong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Board - Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee, along with representatives from the Religious Affairs Department and the Provincial Party Committee Office.

A general overview of the working session.

Ky Son District reported on the results of implementing Resolution 25-NQ/TW, dated June 3, 2015, of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on strengthening and renewing the Party's leadership over mass mobilization work in the new situation; the situation of ethnic groups and religions and the implementation of ethnic and religious policies.

This also includes the results of one year of implementing Notice No. 333/TB-CPCP, dated August 21, 2015, regarding the directives of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Head of the Northwest Steering Committee - at the conference on free migration and population stabilization in the provinces of the Northwest and Central Highlands regions; the implementation of Decision No. 85/2010/QD-TTg, dated December 21, 2010, of the Prime Minister promulgating a number of policies to support boarding students and ethnic boarding schools; and Decision No. 1379/QD-TTg, dated August 12, 2013, of the Prime Minister on the development of education, training and vocational training in the northern midland and mountainous provinces and the western districts of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces for the period 2013-2020. The situation regarding the organization and implementation of Decision 718/QD-TTg, dated May 15, 2014, of the Prime Minister on contracting ethnic Mong people to work in key communes in the district.

Comrade Vu Hong Hai, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, highly appreciated the achievements of Ky Son district in recent years. He suggested that in the coming time, the district should continue to effectively implement the conclusions and resolutions of the Central Party Committee, the Politburo, and the Government on the planning for the development of the Northwest region. In addition, he urged strengthening regional linkages in tourism and education-training development, promoting propaganda to prevent illegal labor export, and focusing on vocational training…

Regarding the district's recommendations at the meeting, the working group received them, reported them to the Government, and forwarded them to the relevant ministries and central agencies for consideration and resolution.

Earlier, the working group of the Northwest Steering Committee conducted a field inspection and held a meeting with the Party Committee of Nam Can commune to review the implementation of policies and guidelines in mass mobilization, ethnic affairs, and religious affairs in the commune.
